Concept and final designs for a local builder/developer who wanted a logo redesign that more readily reflected what they were "all about". While their original logo (a large marble "M") was very attractively rendered, it had absolutely nothing to do with their business. The direction was to retain the fairly well-known "M" in some capacity, but more clearly identify the client as a home builder.

One of the primary goals that I try to achieve with any logo design is that the image should instantly convey some sense of what the business does. Why rely on simple type treatments and gimmicky-yet-meaningless symbols and swashes when a good logo has the opportunity to say so much in a single glance?
