A local convenience store near the entrance to one of the state's largest lakeside parks wanted to create a fresh new image for his business without spending "an arm and a leg" - and this was the result. It's not uncommon for smaller businesses to rely on a single design as the core of their marketing efforts, and this was just such a case.
The primary goal for the logo was to represent the store and its typical clientele in a flattering, friendly way. Another equally important feature of the logo was that the illustration needed to stand on its own in black-and-white for inexpensive reproduction. Even without the bright sky blues and bold orange sunset, the monochrome version of the logo remains strong and easily recognized. |
